Here is a nice little resource that I surfed across today on Determining your skin care type. I know it has often been kind of confusing for me at times when say, selecting a moisturizer and then finding out that there 5 variations I can choose from depending on my skin type and needs.

Identifying your skin type now is a good idea, and will save you from frustration when shopping for an exfoliate, moisturizer, anti-wrinkle, or antiaging product that comes in several variations Dependant upon this, I know that my skin was particularly hard to indentify by just reading the treatment descriptions, and hopefully this list will save you some heartache

Herbal health network – Determining your skin type

Just came across this interesting blog entry from loveantiaging.com on april 4th, about how studies are prooving from the university of Boston that the longevity of our parents is directly linked to our own, particularly in the area of common diseases.

We all pretty much knew already that lots of the pesky things in our life were so generously passed down to us from our generous parents, but it is new to me that antiaging results can be predetermined based upon your parents experiences.

Anyhow, just thought this was an interesting piece of genetic information that might appeal some of us with healthy/unhealthy parents wondering if we are more at risk. I wonder if I am doomed to inherit my mothers horrid cooking skills or my dads overally active gas system? Both of those give me grief and extra wrinkles when I spend weekends with them on the holidays!

Recently I came across this very well written and oh so very true entry on an informative and well done health blog. The author serves up the reality of the antiaging beauty market, and how most products and treatments are more cosmetic and superficial change centered.

The thing with true anti-aging results, is that the fundamentals must be in place to see prolonged desired effects… No brand name product or treatment offers the principles of true age defying benefits in a bottle, and they couldn’t if they tried but their marketing team sometimes seems to convince us otherwise.

Doing my weekly surfing of quality anti aging information, I came across this colorful and interesting blog entry in the area of anti-aging entitled “Red Foods can boost your health” where the author gives an ultra simplistic and effective antiaging tip to choose foods with red coloration for popular nutrients effective in anti-aging.

By adding phytochemicals to our bodies such as the potent lycopene and anthrocyanin, we help to charge our bodies health system, and the best apart about this is that most people love red foods anyhow (I’m not a fan of green foods, other important but less appetizing food choices)

Anyways, thought I would share this with the crowd, as I enjoyed how the author, Adam, made this fun and easy to read with his color coded writing style… Now go check out the site and absorb the information, or go indulge on those healthy red foods already!

Earlier today I came across an interesting article on a herbal remedies site that I bookmarked to share with you here today. It is entitled “New Anti-Aging Brand Puts End to Skin Degeneration” and gave some interesting information into natural repair hormones, and some insight into something I wasn’t familiar before, the molecule Niacin.

Apparently these guys developed an advanced version of the molecule Niacin that helps to stimulate DNA repair caused by natural and environmental cell damage. By stimulation something called leptin, which promotes wound repair and benefits the immune response of our skin, it works to renew healthy skin cells and enhance the barrier of our skin aiding in damage resistance from normal wear and tear.

Just came upon this very professional blog entry entitled “Proactive Steps toward anti-aging” which talks about the often overlooked core issue of body toxins effecting our health and antiaging treatments.

I have mentioned it before on antiaging911.com, but the author here seems to have a more expert overview of how toxicity in our digestive and intestinal symptoms can play a huge role in our health problems, premature aging, and various other undesired things!

Check out the site above and absorb the great information he has here on steps to get the most out of your anti-aging regime, in the mean time I’m going to make note of some of the advice the author has shared, and try and draw up my research and information on the subject for antiaging911.com as well!

I just came across this interesting blog entry entitled “Scientists Call for Anti-Aging Research”

Independent testing has been showing that aging has been effectively slowed and lifespan increased in various disparate animal models, and a large group of scientists have signed on as a call to action for greater research funding seeing as the common fundamentals of the proven should also be applicable to slow aging in humans.

This is very interesting, and I really hope they get the funding they are after… Cross referencing the list there are alot of expert and leading Aging researchers on board, and it would be interesting to see what they could achieve if they had sufficient funding.

Common sense would say that if common age related diseases were cured from the work of this list of experts, that an enormous amount of capital would be freed from the health care system, a worthy investment to say the least.

I just came across this interesting antiaging tidbit on a nice blog entitled Anti-Aging Molecule Discovered

It seems that a group of South Korean researchers made a molecule that can reverse the effects of aging at a cellular level. They say that they expect something to be commercialized by 2016 that would help to enhance the lifespan of our cells by a good amount.

Although this sounds so enticing, its truly hard to imagine… I mean to think about it practically, what kind of population density problems would this bring about if all of a sudden the human lifespan was doubled? Also, who would be eligible for such a product? Obviously it would have to be a controlled substance for said above reasons, and I think their might be a huge ruckus or an extremely limiting price tag on such things.
